This is unfinished bamboo – we recommend applying a food-grade mineral oil finish regularly to protect the tabletop. The oil will bring out the wood tones and darken the appearance. One of the photos shows the “before and after” effect when applying the mineral oil. If you prefer, you could finish the wood in a variety of other ways such as polyurethane.
