Description
Here at Vanlife Outfitters, we love this refrigerator! We used it in our last two Miles Van Camper vans and are very happy with it. It’s great to have a large refrigerator plus a separate freezer. This unit works well in a tall cabinet where the refrigerator is lifted off the ground a bit. In this orientation, you don’t have to continually crouch down to access either the refrigerator or freezer. You can see this in the photo showing the unit installed into Miles Van Camper illustrating the aluminum panel option. Also available in a light grey finish.
Door Panels
The unit ships with black panels for the doors but we you can remove the black panels and replace them with something like brushed aluminum or laminate. The photo showing the refrigerator installed into a van with metallic/aluminum door panels used Lamitec brand “aluminum brush” code: 2030. Other customers have used various colors/finishes of laminate for these panels. You can use the factory door panels as templates.
This refrigerator ships with the doors hinged on the right side but can be swapped so that it hinges from the left side. Details on this are included in the manual.
Power Converter Box
Some Vitrifrigo refrigerators have 12/24 volt DC AND 120/240 volt AC capability built into their controllers. Others CAN be used with both DC and AC but require using an included (at no additional charge) converter box. This depends largely on when the unit was manufactured since Vitrifrigo experienced supply chain issues during the Covid-19 pandemic. This document details this further including how to install and use the converter box.

Ships Via Truck Freight
This item must be shipped to you via truck freight on a pallet. You can choose to have the refrigerator shipped directly to your residential address which includes a "lift gate" or to the nearest shipping terminal which, in most cases, is 10-60 miles from your address. If you live in a rural area you might be farther from a terminal. Many customers prefer to pick up their shipment from a terminal to avoid altering their schedule around a freight delivery that can sometimes be up to a 4 to 6-hour window. Feel free to contact us if you'd like to check on the location of your nearest terminal or have any other questions.
We Protect Your Shipment
Unlike most retailers, we take great care to protect your refrigerator in transit. Each shipment is wrapped in heavy-duty foam insulation and carefully strapped to a pallet (example photo). Prior to launching our store, we've received many damaged refrigerators for own personal van builds which is frustrating and time consuming - particularly with the very limited supply of marine refrigerators these days. So, we take the extra effort to make sure your refrigerator arrives in pristine condition!
