- Extremely low profile – only adds 7/8″ (23mm) to the height of your seat.
- Manufactured by Scopema in France.
- Includes all installation hardware.
- Note that the driver side swivel requires a “handbrake relocator kit” which adds $40 to the cost of the driver side swivel.Using the kit is detailed in the installation videos below in the description.
- If you have an electronic parking brake, the handbrake relocation kit is not required
- Note: this swivel has only been test-fitted in a standard seat base model and has not been approved for use in models with the 10-way powered seat.
A note about different variants:
*Depending on the exact year, model, options you may have, some trimming of plastic may be necessary when installing on different variants of the Transit seat.
*There is a known issue with the Scopema swivels for Ford Transits, where on some vans the seat rail will hit the side of the door when swiveling. The solution to this is to either cut a small piece off the end of the problem seat rail, or to simply pop open the door when swiveling the seat.
*Please be advised that it is not recommended to operate the swivel base while sitting on the seat.

I’m happy to give a shout out to VanLife Outfitters. These folks are an incredible example of how a company should conduct business. Although I’m building a truck camper, I have bought several things from VanLife outfitters and their customer service is bar none . I would never hesitate recommending VanLife outfitters to anyone whether they are building a van camper or boat. And I might add even a tiny home. Everyone that I’ve talked to have been nothing but incredible. In particular, Jason in technical support was an incredible blessing to me. I had a problem with the Aqua Hot Gen 1 heater I bought from them. It was not the heater fault, but something I did. Jason helped bird-dog the solution and together we got it fixed. He stuck with me, did research, and called me back several times to make sure that the problem was resolved. These people know the business, many have their on rigs, which gives them the best experience. Thanks you Vanlife Outfitters!!!!
