Global connectivity with 4G LTE-M LTE-M is the abbreviation for LTE Cat-M1 or Long Term Evolution (4G), category M1. This cellular technology is designed to connect Internet of Things devices to existing 4G towers while using low energy. LTE-M does support handovers and roaming so it is possible to use this device in a moving vehicle like a campervan. Check the list in our GlobalLink 520 manual to see if LTE-M is officially confirmed to be available in your area. Coverage is increasing every week as local providers roll out support. Your purchase includes 5 years of connectivity, so there is no need to worry about purchasing a separate data bundle and SIM-card. |
System monitoring & control
The GlobalLink 520 comes with two communication ports, which allows connecting up to two VE.Direct devices such as a BMV Battery Monitor and/or a MPPT Solar Charge Controller directly to VRM. With two digital inputs that also act as pulse counters and a remote controllable relay, it's a perfect solution to monitor and control your installation.
Integrated Antenna
The GlobalLink 520 comes with a built-in antenna that is designed to work all around the globe. However if you require better reception or want to install your module in a utility van for example, it is also possible to mount an external antenna.

I’m happy to give a shout out to VanLife Outfitters. These folks are an incredible example of how a company should conduct business. Although I’m building a truck camper, I have bought several things from VanLife outfitters and their customer service is bar none . I would never hesitate recommending VanLife outfitters to anyone whether they are building a van camper or boat. And I might add even a tiny home. Everyone that I’ve talked to have been nothing but incredible. In particular, Jason in technical support was an incredible blessing to me. I had a problem with the Aqua Hot Gen 1 heater I bought from them. It was not the heater fault, but something I did. Jason helped bird-dog the solution and together we got it fixed. He stuck with me, did research, and called me back several times to make sure that the problem was resolved. These people know the business, many have their on rigs, which gives them the best experience. Thanks you Vanlife Outfitters!!!!
